Kronobergs castle ruins

Kronoberg's castle ruin is located on the shore of Lake Helgasjön and was originally a bishop's castle. Many certainly associate Kronoberg with the rebel Nils Dacke, who spent Christmas at Kronoberg in 1542.

Skrufs glassworks

Skrufs Glasbruk, located in Skruv, is proudly owned and run by the Elm family, who have deep roots in the local community. It is a business where the whole family is involved and actively participates in the production of the beautiful glass products.

Fishing in the weekend lake Helgasjön

Helgasjön - part of the Mörrumsån water system - located north of Växjö with an area of approx. 55 km2. 26 m deep, fresh flowing, nutrient-poor water with well-balanced PH. Hundreds of islands, many bays and straits and four larger fjords. Here we mainly fish Perch, Goose, Pike, Bream, Roach - but also other exciting species. The lake has a well-prepared chart with intn. standard. Plenty of restaurants, accommodation and service. Fishing licenses are sold and several jetties and boat ramps are available.

4H-farm

At Hovshaga north of Växjö center is Växjö's 4H farm, a meeting place for all children and young people who love animals and want to have meaningful leisure. The farm is always open to the public - the animals are in their pens and you are welcome to visit them over the fence.
